(You will note that the above deed is the last to be registered by SUGAN JOHNSON, as Public Register. See Will Book l, page 39 for Administrator's Bond in Estate of SUGAN JOHNSON, dec'd., WILLIAM JOHNSON, Administrator, dated XXIX Oct. 1765, just one month after the record shows that he registered the above deed. He had been appointed Publick Register for Bute County, by Governor ARTHUR DOBBS, the day the Act of Assembly creating Bute County became effective, 10 June 1764.)
