109 THOMAS MELLETT, 11-year-old orphan, apprenticed to WILLIAM BOWDOWN, to be taught the art & mystery of a planter. Agreement, dated 14 Feb. 1770 pursuant to a Court Order of the same day, with WILLIAM JOHNSON, Presiding Justice, on behalf of the Justices. Recorded February Court 1770.

110 Receipt from THOS. BRIDGES, Deputy Sheriff, for money received from MR. WILLIAM PARK in payment for a negro sold him at public auction of Estate of THOMAS DAVIS, dec'd., at the instance of WILLIAM BAREMEN. Dated 7 Sept. 1769. Rcd., on motion of WILLIAM PARK, Feb. Court 1770.

110 THOMAS MACHEN, JR., of Colony of Va., to my father & mother THOMAS and LETTY MACHEN. Dated 16 Jan. 1769. For natural love & affection, I lend them, for life, household goods now in their possession except bed I give to my sister BETTY MACHEN. Goods were bought at sale of my father's Estate in Va. in 1765, purchased for them & to return to me at their death. Wit: WILLIAM ROSE, JOHN SCOTT. Recorded Feb. Court 1770.

111 ALLEY WEAVER, 9 years old, apprenticed to ABRAHAM MAYFIELD, to be instructed in the art & mystery of housewifery. Agreement with WILLIAM JOHNSON, Presiding Justice on behalf of Justices, dated 13 Feb. 1768, pursuant to Court Order, same date. Recorded February Court 1770.
