GUILFORD COUNTY LOOK-UP’S
AND RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS
Unfortunately, as of June 2019, I have no volunteers to do general look-ups, due to the death of one person and the relocation of another. I hope you can find sufficent help through other means.
I would welcome someone volunteering to do look-ups for others. Unfortunately, my own research does not permit time for me to do look-ups for others myself.
Linda Cecil Cox has kindly offered to do look-up’s in: 300 Years of Cecil’s in America by Alta Cecil Koch.
The book covers the CECIL family coming from Maryland to North Carolina in the early 1800’s and settling in Rowan County. This book contains a great deal of information on Cecil’s in Guilford County plus other families in the area, such as Barker, Barksdale, Barton, Bauman, Bodenhamer, Boles, Bowman, Cagle, Calhoun, Campbell, Cecil, Craven, Cross, Dillard, Eanes, Evans, Glascoe, Gray, Hayworth, Hughes, Ilman, Klass, Koontz, Newton, Smith, Teague, Ward and Williams.
Professional Research Services
These involve costs of various kinds, so they must be shown separately from volunteer lookup services.
If you are looking for a professional researcher, you may contact: Rick Saunders. Rick is located in Salt Lake City and has immediate access to all the records which are stored in the facilities there. He often contributes experienced advice to the Rootsweb mailing list on Guilford County research issues, and he himself has Guilford roots.
