Ila Bell Slate, daughter of James Slate, wwas laid to rest in Friendship cemetery on the 16th. She was one year and 8 days old. It was sad indeed for these fond parents to part with the dear daughter, but the hope to meeting her again in the new resurrected state cheers their hearts. None but those who have given up their children can realize how hard it is to tear ourselves away from the cold never to see the little one again on earth.
