J.A. Boyles and Miss Mattie Craft were united in marriage at Winston Wednesday night. They were both formerly from Pinnacle and had been living in Winston only a few months.

Mabe, “Girl” (d-1915)
The twelve- year-old daughter of Mrs. J.I. Mabe passed away Wednesday night about 9:30pm after an illness of a few days. Her death was thought to be caused by eating too many cherries. She is survived by a mother and several brothers and sisters. Her father died only a few months ago with pneumonia. She was laid to rest in the family graveyard Thursday evening in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives.

1912 Sept- Boyles & Gordon
A pretty wedding was solemnized last Sunday on Germanton Route 1 when Miss Mary Gordon became the bride of Mr. W.W. Boyles. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride’s parents, and was attended by a number of relatives and friends of the young couple.
Miss Gordon is the popular and accomplished young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.Y. Gordon, and among that section’s most prominent people, while Mr. Boyles is a member of the firm of Boyles Bros., the well known clothing men, who operate large stores both at Winston-Salem and Reidsville, and is manager of the store at that place. He is formerly of this county.
