We are sorry to note the death of our dear friend, Mrs. Polly Vaughn, who died May 6th, and was laid to rest at the Denny burying ground near Grassy Knob. She was 80 years old. 1 son survives her, Mr. Gid Vaughn. She was confined to her bed for 15 days, and knew everything till the end. She had been living with her grandson, Mr. Virgil Vaughn most 11 years and often while on her death bed made the remark how kind the family had been to her and said Mrs. Vaughn had never given her a short word while she had been with her.
