Flora married George Washington Day, son of Jackson & Jane Sides Day on 11 April 1909 in Catawba Co. N.C, the marriage license dated 8 April 1909.²⁶⁹ The couple was married at the home of the bride's father, George E. Long, minister, officiating. Flora was a retired employee of Old Hickory Overhall Manufacturing Company and was a long time member of West Hickory Baptist Church. Her funeral was conducted by Reverend Phillip King and Reverend Fritz Hemphill.
