He married DILSEY AMBLIC SIMPSON 18 January 1891 in Camden, Camden, North Carolina, daughter of JOHN SIMPSON and SARAH SAWYER. She was born 17 February 1873 in Camden, Camden, North Carolina, and died 24 March 1976 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

He married ANNIE ELIZABETH SILVERTHORNE 27 December 1921 in Norfolk, Virginia, Parkplace Baptist Church, daughter of EDWARD SILVERTHORNE and JUDITH SWINDELL. She was born 30 July 1900 in Englehard, Hyde, North Carolina, and died 09 July 1992 in Dogue, King George, Virginia.
