I am looking for the ancestors of Edmund Coor,
my great grandfather, who was born about 1811 in North Carolina
according to the 1880 census and family tradition. He died
about January 17, 1895, in Wayne County. He married first Anna
Mariah Cox, daughter of Levi Cox, prior to 1838, and they had
eight children. Anna Mariah Cox Coor died between the 1880
census and January 4, 1882, when Edmund COOR remarried (he was
69 or 70 years old at the time!) to Adrianna HOOKS. They had
five children, including my grandmother, Annie Eugenia COOR,
who married Milford AYCOCK. They are buried in the Aycock
cemetery in northwestern Wayne County on Route 222. I believe
that Edmund COOR also has descendents in New Hanover County.

Searching for the name of the wife of Israel BOURDEAUX, born 1756, a native of New Hanover county, and son of Anthony and Priscilla LAMB BOURDEAUX. Israel owned land on Lyon Swamp in Bladen county. He was the father of William Bordeaux of Bladen, born about 1790, John Baptist Bordeaux, Ann Bordeaux, wife of William FLINN, Priscilla Bordeaux, wife of James SQUIRES, Israel C. Bordeaux, Anthony Bordeaux, and possibly Samuel Bordeaux. Peter Bourdeaux of New Hanover county, a brother of Israel, married Susannah LARKINS. Among other children, they named a son William L. Bordeaux. The name William interests me since it is never used in the Bourdeaux family until Israel and Peter use it. There was a William Larkins who lived on Lyon Swamp and who was in the correct time frame to be the father of Israel and Peter's wife. Did Israel marry a Larkins like his brother, and was she the daughter of William Larkins? Anyone having information, please contact me: Jason Bordeaux by snail mail: 660 Graviss Ct.
