Searching for material, a will in particular, for Anthony Green who was known to have been in New Hanover Co. in 1731 (abstract deed on line). We are interested in both whether he was somehow related to the many Green descendants for Furnifold Green, Sr., of Bath and evolving counties in the area or if his children included Dr. Samuel Green also of New Hanover and Thomas Green of Duplin Co. Any feedback most certainly appreciated.

I am wondering what vital records are available for Wilmington, North Carolina. In specific, I am looking for a marriage between Trina and Michael Dennis VERZAAL; and any marriage of Robert Wayne VERZAAL; and any children with this surname born in the 1980's or 1990's. This is a fairly uncommon last name; these are cousins very distantly related to me and far away from my home state of Texas! Any help y'all can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am searching for the parents of James M, Reuben, Francis, Margaret and Tomsey WILSON. They are said to be from the Wilmington area having left there around 1820. I strongly suspect they migrated from that area with the LEE family and was possibly connected with the GOFF family. James M Wilson was born 1803.

I am looking for information on the NEWTON, CRAIG, ST.GEORGE, DOSHER families who settled in the Federal Point (Ft. Fisher) area of the Cape Fear River in the 1750's. They were river pilots, ferry and lighthouse keepers who also owned small plantations. Most left the Point at the time of the Civil War for Smithville (Southport), Bald Head Island and Wilmington where they continued as pilots. Any information you send will be shared through the new Federal Point History Center at Carolina Beach and greatly appreciated.

To all WALKER researchers, if you are a male with the surname of WALKER, or know someone who is, I encourage you to join the "WALKER DNA PROJECT". If you have Walker ancesters from New Hanover county or the surrounding counties you should consider participating. This could be a good way to connect and sort out some of the early WALKER families from the area. Below is a link you can go to for further inf. I am #739 on the chart. Although I have James WALKER of England as my earliest known ancester, his son was William WALKER of the Moore's Creek area of New Hanover Co. NC.
