Martha BARRINEAU married an unknown YOUNG just before 1800. Her family supposedly came from Onslow Co., NC, but has a connection to the CARNEY family in Wilmington, NC. Martha named one of her sons William CARNEY YOUNG b. 1802. According to some family members, Martha may have been born a DOWNING, rather than a BARRINEAU. I would appreciate any information on Martha BARRINEAU, her YOUNG husband, and the CARNEY connection to the family.
