My grandfather's uncle Hanno NIEWOLD is missing. Our lead stops in Wilmington NC. This is what we know: born in Noordbroek (Netherlands), july 29 1887, gardener. Arrived in New York oct 24, 1908 (Ship: SS Campania, sailing from Liverpool GB). He claims he will join a friend, H.H. de Wildt (probably Dutch emigrant), in Wilmington N.C. And there it ends. We do not know if he arrived in Wilmington at all. Can Mr. de Wildt's presence in 1908 be verified? A census record on him would be nice. Did Hanno ever get to Wilmington? Thanks

My gr.gr. grandfather, Hosea PICKETT, was born in NC in 1815. From the 1820 New Hanover Co, NC census, there were several PICKETT groups & I am hoping to find which one my line ties to. There is a Hosea PICKETT in this census & it looks from ages of family members that this Hosea could have been a grandfather to my Hosea Pickett or another relative. Would like to hear from others researching these Pickett lines (William PICKETT, Hosea PICKETT, Jacob PICKETT, Ephraim PICKETT and John PICKETT and Joseph PICKET).
