I'm trying to locate a father and mother for both Alexander (b. abt 1803-1856) & Thoroughgood (1798-1880) Perisho/Parisher. I have the children and grandchildren for both of them. I know that many of them moved to Macoupin County, Illinois and Texas, but some stayed too. I have a very large database and would be interested in hearing from other Perisho/Parisher researchers to share. Thanks!

I truly would like to find out if they came from Ireland, England or where. I found a Joshua PHELPS married to Mary DONELSON, with 6 children. I also found the Will of Joshua Phelps, where he is giving property to his wife, MARY, and also to his wife, POLLY. Can anyone tell me what that means? The 7 children are included in this will, including BOYD Phelps. I would appreciate hearing from anyone. I must be missing something.

24 July 2005 FROM wjrhodes3@bbnp.com(Bill Rhodes)

My search is for the parents and grandparents of George Washington Rhodes, born 20 Nov 1833 in Pasquotank County; he married Rebecca Cartwright, 11 Feb 1859, Pasquotank County. George's' father was William Rhodes (Roads, Rodes) born 1800 but we know not where. All we have of his mother's name is Susan A. ?????? What I need so badly is from which county did William and Susan relocate to Pasquotank County. Where was William born (1800) and who were his parents? We think we can connect with the Rhode Island Rhodes if we could only get over this creek. Thank you for any help you care to offer.

ROBERSON/ROBASON
8 March 2000 FROM prytherch@cconnect.net (Jo ROBERSON Prytherch)

I am looking for the parents of Noah Perry ROBASON/ROBERSON who settled in the part of Tyrell County which became Martin County. Noah Perry ROBASON was born about 1818, married Mary CLARK of Martin County, fought in the War with Mexico and the War Between the States. Noah Perry ROBASON, better known as Perry, is believed to be a descendant of Henry ROBASON and Sally COLLINS, early settlers in Tyrell County, but not proven. His age would have made him a possible grandson or great-grandson of Henry and Sally. Noah Perry ROBASON is NOT the Noah Robason, son of James ROBASON and Millicent DUGGAN, who is well documented in Martin County.

ROBERSON/ROBASON
4 July 2000 FROM prytherch@cconnect.net (Jo ROBERSON Prytherch)

I believe that my GG Grandfather Israel/Izrael ROBASON was the son of David ROBASON who was the son of Henry ROBASON. Henry owned land in Tyrell County in the 1740's. Are there any deeds or wills in Tyrell County that relate to Henry ROBASON or his son, David? Henry allegedly had 10 sons, but David is the one I believe was the father of my ancestor. I am basing this on a Martin County deed of trust that Israel signed saying the land he was mortgaging formerly belonged to David ROBASON.

Is anyone doing research on Clara D. ROUGHTON (b. abt 1872) who married William B. SYKES? I had believed that Mary Francis BRICKHOUSE, wife of Daniel W. I haven't located her death certificate to see who's listed as her mother. Can anyone shed any light?

ROUGHTON/BARNES
23 January 2013 FROM sfortier@emhs.org(Susan Southard Fortier)

I am just starting my search for extended family in the Columbia NC area. My great grandparents, Alfred and Sadie BARNES were married about 1900. My grandmother Laurine (Laura) Barnes ROUGHTON was born 1902. She married Willie ROUGHTON in 1917. They were divorced about 1935 and I have no knowledge of his family at all ( divorce seemed a final blow to family relations then!). Thank you for any info or suggestions for starting my search.

ROWSOME/ROUSOME
30 January 1999 FROM rowsomec@indigo.ie (Ciaran Rowsome)

I am tracing my family name which has been in Ireland since 1650. I came across a reference to Rebecca Rousome born around 1730 and married to James Bounds son of James Bounds Sr. b. 1696 (Dorchester Co. MD). Her niece Olive Van Bibber married Nathan Boone the son of Daniel Boone. I also found Elizabeth Rowsome in the Tyrell Co. Census of 1790. I found 20th century death list references to at least 20 Rowsomes in Columbia, NC. I would therefore be interested in obtaining more information, particularly early 18th century or even earlier. This will help me establish where the name originated as although we are in Ireland since 1650 - the name is not Irish. Any ideas ? Thanks.
