I, George Glazenor, having in view the
uncertainty of all human affairs and knowing
that I can't live much longer
Do hereby make this my
last will and testament for the purposes of
disposing of certain property hereinafter
mentioned.
Whereas I am the owner
of one fifth of a tract of land containing two
hundred acres in the County of Transylvania on
the Balsam Mountain containing a mine of
silver, tin, and other valuable metals which
mine is known as Glazenor's and Beasley's
Silver Mine and whereas I am unwilling that the
said valuable property shall be sacrificed by
my heirs but on the contrary am desirous that
the same shall be judiciously managed so that
it will be worth as much as possible to my
heirs and the heirs of my father who will share
the proceeds of the same. Now therefore I do
hereby constitute and appoint B. N. Glazenor
and C. M. Gillespie my executors of this my
last will and testament.
And I do hereby devise
and bequeath to the said B. N. Glazenor and C.
M. Gillespie all my right title and interest in
the said land and mines to them and their heirs
forever for the purposes of selling the same to
the best advantage at such time as they may
think best and my said executors after making
such sale shall them divided the proceeds of my
interest between the heirs of my father and my
own heirs according to the terms of the Deed of
Lease made to me by me father and bearing date
May 16th 1856.
In testimony whereof I
have hereunto set my hand this August the 8 AD
1874.
